Two summers ago I said that I would show the internals of the planters.
Sometime after My phone would not connect to My computer,I think it was damaged by a mobil charger I was using (phone got real hot)!
New phone last week. Downloaded all My Pics off M-card.
So as promised a dull update :D
I used aluminum flashing to form a drainage tray.

Cement backer board for the base with drain holes and sealed the inside with Rustoleum flex-seal.

I then put down aluminum radiator screen as a drainage grid.

I covered the bottom with Ag Fleece and put in 40# of pea stone, then another layer of fleece.
Then filled with potting soil.

That is very nice. Karen wants something similar, you have given me some ideas.

Nice!  There's a right way to do everything!
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

jem , I don't know  :o
The wood is salvaged from a shipping crate that came from Germany.

I would guess , some kind of pine   ;)
