Being that Fall just started the sun is at a mid angle in its arch. If you would measure your shadow versus your height today it will give you the angle for your collector.

To use this technique, you must do it at "solar noon" and not 12:00pm on your clock.  Because we do often not know the exact time of solar noon, it might be easier to use your latitude.  At the equator yesterday, the sun was right overhead at noon or zero degrees.  So, a flat collector.  For every degree from the equator, lift the collector by one degree.  To enhance drying before the spring equinox and after the fall equinox, raise or increase the angle by 10 degrees.
