Going to find some  Stihl 066 dead saws too BTW; Have a pile of AM parts to test & fit to see how they work...

the only am parts I have had trouble with are the pump worms.  They melt and get into the pump driven gear, spring etc making it necessary to dis assemble the pump.  I go OEM on these.  Also I buy Meteor brand jugs and pistons.  Nice sounding saw by the way. Jim

Thank you... I'm not real knowledgeable on Stihl saws, think I could learn a lot from you on this series! What brand oil pumps did you try? How about worm gears? I would be interested for you to send me one after failure...kind of curious. (PM for address when and if that happens) (I'll get OEM anyway I think...also wondering about those carbs. They run well enough that I'm not as motivated to swap in OEM intake parts as I was with the Husqvarna's other than to see if I can tell a difference. They seem to have maintained their tune to this point, the saws run great, and seem to be stable. Also I can say that those MS660's intake rubber parts are dimensionally quite good. At least the ones I have. And that saw keeps getting better the more I run it...a long break in period. )
