-5 sepals, hairy
-5 petals, slightly cleft, purple-pink, each petal has two litlle spurs pointing up at a 90 degree angle to the plain
of the petal, spurs obscure view of stamens and styles, flower odorless, has veins darker in color than rest of
petals, white on and around spurs
-5 styles
-10 stamens, green anthers
-Opposite leaves, pale green, soft almost like lamb's ear but more papery, hairy on top and bottom, leaves 
connected in pairs around the nodes, indistinct bristle tips along leaf margin (more distinct at leaf tips)
-Hairy stems, with swollen nodes
