Hello everyone
The grapple on my skidder does not want to rotate in one direction and I'm troubleshooting it on here first to get some ideas of what is the cause. it'll rotate fine in one direction but really slow in the other direction, when I push on the grapple as someone operates the controls it'll spin fast, Its like the rotation motor isn't getting enough hydraulic pressure in one port. or some o rings are pooched in that particular control valve.
Its a 95 john deere 648e
Any ideas of how to determine the problem ????

I have had that happen before. It was the rotate rocker switch  on the lever.

I've had that problem before on my harvester and the rotator was bad to the tune of about $5K. Sometimes they can rebuild them but you have to have special tooling to fix them.
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

its a faulty pressure relief valve on the Grapple rotate control valve, its an easy fix..
