Stihl 036 pro

I just got a Stihl 036 PRO and want to do some mods to get its full potential i have only done this once and it was on a 026. I don't really know where to start so anyone got any ideas??? What is the max rpm for the high and the idle.

Welcome to the forum. I did a thread on modifying the muffler on my 361 a while back. Should be a good starting place other than you shouldn't have to remove the limit caps on an 036.

For tuning the saw check out Madsen's site, good information there on saw tuning.

Start smaller and work up to where you want it too, can always take more out of it but can't put it back so easily!

thank you i will try and see if i can make that work. what is the big difference between the 036 Pro and the ms 361??

The 036 is a predecessor of the 361. They're a totally different saw from one another though. I think the 036 is 62cc, 361 is 59cc.  Both professional models from a long standing line of good saws.  ;D
