is there a way to test auto trannys for skidders out of the skidder

who makes the transmission? 

Spoke with a friend he indicated if its an Allison go to Penn Detroit.

I am no authority on transmission mechanics whatsoever.  The only tests I've ever read for a reverser trans on a backhoe loader involved a pressure gauge on various ports with the trans at stall.

I'm thinking on a mechanical trans without either a engine or dynamometer testing will be difficult.
