Went there in 71 when it first opened.
Poured down rain the whole time and the lines were long.
A lady in line ahead of me got sick of waiting and gave me a handfull of ride tics.
Never been back.

the funny thing about it is, you only get to see half of it.....the rest is under ground.

Actually, you can visit the underground portion of the Magic Kingdom - and it is almost as interesting as the above ground part. There are special tours (Keys to the Kingdom) that take you places Walt never intended the public to see, including the Utilidor tunnels.

My wife is a big Disney fan, and I'm a big fan of my wife. So we have been to both Disneyland, and Disney World many many times. If you plan it right - when crowds are projected to be low, and use the FastPass and single rider options on many of the attractions, you can ride on just about any ride you want with less than a 10 minute wait.

On the other hand, if you go on Christmas Day - when the parks can reach capacity by 10:00 AM after opening at 9:00, you may not have the best experience.
