This burl was in a tree I cut for posts a few years ago, but didn't notice it until I was chopping it up for firewood yesterday.  I'm not a woodworker, but I'm thinking it has more potential than just firewood?  Any advice on what to do with it, it's value, etc would be greatly appreciated.
What a life!

mesquite buckeye

Might make a pretty bowl, but most bowlmakers want them fresh. Dry ones have little cracks in them and can blow up in your face on the lathe..... :-\

I'd give it a spin!  Soak it up where needed with some CA and keep going til' it splodes!   Oh , yeah,  if you keep the speed down while you evaluate what you've got to work with, then you can tippy-toe into the minefield! ;D ;D
