I like your job!  The office view is fantastic too.

You did just fine with the picture. I like your office too.
old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthusiasm

It may be that the only "stress" in that workplace might be inside a few logs.
Nice photo, and the sticking and stacking look great.
What do you use to move the lumber around? (hint: more photos please  ;) )

only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Those stacks look like one long group of boards.  Are you milling 24-26 ft lumber or is that an optical illusion as to the length?

Nice view and enjoying what you are doing; how much better does it get.

Lawg,

I have same question as Pine. How long are those boards? I'm impressed.

Those boards are the standard 16'6". SYP.  I move all my lumber/logs with that old 4000 JD tractor, with FEL.

Thanks Corey

Nice looking setup and office. Is that timbers that you are cutting?
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

LD--I predict you will live a long life being in such a stress-free environment  :).  Beautiful location & great set-up.  Question: why cut cants, remove and store, then re-load onto mill?  I find that because I have so many wood varieties and work alone, it's faster to simply cut what I have into what I know my customers will come for: 2 x stock; 1 x's; 4 x 4's  and 6 x 6's ; live edge.  Also, if I store cants they tend to dry partially before I get to them and saw with more stress.  Thanks & all the best, Rob.

It's just something I'm trying right now.  I have better results with pine doing it this way, when the pine logs sit for too long in our humid environment, the bugs and blue stain set in pretty quick.  I can deal with the "stress" in the cants better than the worms and mold in them.

Thanks, Corey

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with Sawing...but this is the view from my office in the summer.
I used to think I was crazy, then I realized: I'm the only normal one.
