I remember reading about making full skip ripping chain, but, could not find it using the search feature or by paging. I sort of remember the old search not being a Google search...

I ordered some conv. ripping chain from Baileys, though I would like a full skip so it goes easier and faster on the saw. I want to make fencing, so two rough sides does not matter much.

Could I take the full comp ripping chain and just cut every other cutter or plate off with the same effect?  Or do I have to order a skip chain and file the cutter back to 10 degrees?

I saw someone post about doing a 10 10 0 0 degree on the cutters. Will this work easier or harder on the saw?

My favorite is 10 right, top off right, top off left, 10 left . . .

Bailey's used to sell it and last time I asked for it, they said they'd make more when enough backorders piled up.

I want some more so if I knew others were ordering as well, I' would too.

When you say "top off" do you mean cutting the whole cutter off?
