Coast Steve

Had a little "incident" with a small kickback while bucking some downed trees yesterday.
Good thing I had my Kevlar pants on since my brand new full skip chain touched my knee and pulled a wack of Kevlar out and into the chainsaw stopping it.

It was only a 60cc husky with a 20" bar too.
If I had no pants I would be in very bad shape.

Since most of my time is spent ripping big logs horizontal at chest level to waist level at full throttle and a very big saw,
I have decided I need a Kevlar safety saw jacket of some sort.
Something that will do my arms as well, not just a vest.
I don't mind ordering it from the UK or anywhere else.
The last thing I needed is my 880 to whip the chain off the 6 foot bar and take my insides out.

Anyone have any tips on a spot to get such protection in a jacket?
Thanks guys, I guess that gave me a scare.

Steve go see your Husqvarna dealer. I got one of their kevlar jackets for about $200 .
Only trouble I never wear it much . I wear the non kevlar jacket more.
