Hay Magicman, I fixed my seat. :D :D :D

Ran out of gorilla tape. ;)

My Magicman seat needed a whole roll of tape too so I took it off the mill and don't use it.  But I do have plans to use it for classified purposes.

Most assuredly my seat will either be satisfactorily repaired or replaced, and to me, it really does not matter which.  There will be a seat.

I most generally saw alone and to me the seat was more hassle than it was worth having to get in and out all the time.  That is the real reason I don't use it.  If I had a helper, I'd probably use it because my feet sure get to hurting by the end of a day of sawing.

All I can say is when I guy knows how to work with the seat, He will be cutting faster alone then walking alone.
I just step off the thing, no jumping off. Unless your Magicman with short legs, then you will need a step. :D :D :D :D ;)

I once recovered a seat out of an old bus with house wrap. It worked good at the camp for the wader room. My Kubota seat rotted out after only 3-4 years in the weather. The frame rusted. They wanted a grand for a stupid seat. I went to tractor supply and modified one of theirs to fit. had to cut some angle iron brackets etc.

I did manage to make a bit of sawdust this week.

We finished up with this ratty looking 16" diameter Cherry burl.

This is the first cut.  It was all sawn 2 5/8".

Bookmatched center cuts.  I have no idea what the customer's plans are for these burl slabs.  ???

Raining here right now. Severe thunderstorms zipping all around me on the map. Only managed to saw 5 pieces 1/2x1-1/2 x 10 ft strips of stinky oak for my gothic arch thingy. No opportunity to actually use them yet, though.

Still waiting for me to saw: a dry elm with barb wire, the upper end of a dead red oak (the best of it is still waiting in the woods), a couple of chunks of white oak and some more maple. I really need to saw some framing material and make some kind of shed for lumber.
