I just bought a timber tuff sharpener, it's a clone of the oregon. I'm confused about the 10* tilt that the carlton A1 chain calls for. Do I absolutely need this tilt, or can I just grind flat?

I tried the tilt when I first got my Oregon sharpener 30 years ago and couldn't tell any difference from set a 0, it's been set at 0 ever since. Make sure to get the wheel low enough so you have some positive hook on the side plate and keep the rakers at the right height and your chains will cut good..   Steve
