Just found this guys site (http://www.newwoodworker.com/index.html) this morning while researching how to fix my jointer.  And since the internet has made us all ADD, I quickly found myself watching this video of him stupidly (he, himself, admits) giving an example of kickback.  Towards the end of the vid he slows it down and shows just how close he came to losing a finger or three.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7sRrC2Jpp4

Maybe this belongs in the Health/Safety section but thought it works here too.  Be careful out there!

Was recently posted too.

Main point.. be sure to have a splitter right behind the saw blade so a piece cannot twist away from the fence and get snapped up by the rising teeth of the blade.
