Thecfarm is not the only one to have a new job.  I bred my last cow on may 31st . I still Work for the same out fit but now I am the "iceman"  I deliver Liquid Nitrogen to farms and vet clinics in most of New York and parts of Pa. I'm loving it ! 8) My back and shoulder are nearly pain free for the first time in a long time, drive a company truck, stay in company paid hotels and only work 4 ten hour days ! I was working 6 tens with no holidays or vacation time..
So if any of you see a smiling bearded guy driving a big new ford f350 diesel with a high walk in topper on it chase me down and say hi! :D

So many inappropriate replies could be made....

I will just say congratulations, Breederman, you have a beautiful part of the country to motor around in.  I wish you the best through this coming winter.

Such admirable restraint BB, you can probably walk by a barrel without shooting any fish too. Breederman, is your new name going to be " Iceman "? I suggest " Iceman, formerly Breederman " for the first while.
Life is too short or my list is too long, not sure which. Dec 2014

Winter could be tough but I'm used to that. At least much of western NY is sorta flat!

I run an 8 week schedual and should have 3 times in before it snows . Knowing where I am will help some in the winter ;)  I don't go up in " the north country" above Utica . I pawned that off on the young guy from Vermont that didn"t know any better ! ;D

No doubt a well earned promotion so congratulations!   8)

This upgrade is coming at a good time in your life, since so many are physically burnt out long before you have been.

What parts of Pennsylvania do you cover?
Say when

breederman

Oh I don't think it is a promotion, lateral transfer at best. I have worked for sales commission for 34 years , this is a salary job. It hadn't been done before so I get to make it my own and make myself indispensable ! ;D It's been fun figuring out how to make it work.

Congratulations on the job! That stuff is really cool, when kids the guy would dip a flower or rubber band in it and it would turn to glass! Smashing flowers was a lot of fun! :D

Congratulations on the new job!

I grew up on a farm and have watched the AI guy do his business and sometimes that can be quite strenuous!

It's time you got the chance to take life a little easier!  8)

I don't think anyone gets 100000 first services without shoulder surgery. :( I am about 20000 short of that number, it would be in my future sooner rather than later if I kept it up.

congrat's on the new job!  Real happy for you! nothing like working with less pain,  drive safe!
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Staying farther south shouldn't be so bad, I was thinking you'd be up north also. I'm just outside Utica in New Hartford, but from Rome/Oneida. Worst this way in winter is usually lake effect and that's usually east of Syracuse to around Rome area. Hope you enjoy the new job!

Congrats Breederman on the new job! Being pain free is a real bonus. I couldn't stay retired either.  Started a part time job at the local airport as a 'flight monitor'. 10 hours a week, 2 weeks on two weeks off.  There are only two of us.  The other guy is my best friend who retired on the same day I did 2 years ago.  Basically our job is to meet the plane ferrying the oil field workers from Newfoundland to Alberta.  I escort the 'smokers' from the plane to the parking lot outside the terminal, let them have their 15 minute smoke break and then escort them back to the plane.  Once the door on the plane closes I head home.  I spend about 1 1/2 hours at the airport per flight but I'm paid for an 8 hour day.  I think I won the lottery!
