I think it must have more to do with something other than odds.  Maybe the weather, a national disaster, special holidays or the like.  I seldom find a person who shares my birthday, much less one who is in the same room.

Let's count back from July 21st and see what was happening. Hmmmm, Halloween, chilly fall nights, no planting, harvest are done, Washington Senators beat Detroit Tigers 4-1 and there is War all over  the globe.

There's a lot to be said for snuggling up in a warm bed with all that going on. :D

I think Van Gogh was the artist that cut his ear off in protest over his ability as an artist. Did you see the movie 'Lust for Life' with Kirk Douglas as Van Gogh? Anthony Quinn also was in the movie, made in 1956. The Turner Classics movie channel aired it last winter and before the movie was run they showed the making of it. Both the doumentary of the making of the movie and the movie itself were great. It is on this thursday at 10:00 am and I think at 9:30 am is the making of it.
