Been in Florida, near Summerfield for the past 2 weeks where my wife and I have purchased a house for Snow Birding.
So far have had 2 orders of grits with breakfast and my fingers and toes havent fallen off yet.
Are there perhaps other physical deformities that arise from eating grits?
I do however find them rather bland with only butter, salt and pepper.
Maybe some Tabasco?
Soon to be a part time Yankee.

Not sure about the physical deformities but for sure they'll make your clothes shrink. Rotel tomatoes and chilies add a little zing if you're inclined that way.

Handwriting improvement, promotes beard growth, and improves manliness when consumed on a regular basis.

Love these responses so far.
I  love pasta and may try GENUINE PURE UNADULTERATED NY state maple syrup on the grits, dont shave a lot now as i have a nearly full beard, but any reduction in this pastime will be appreciated.
Only been here 2 weeks and my clothes have already shrunk, but my handwriting is beyond help.
Dont know what a rotel tomato is but if i find out i will try some with chilis
If my manliness improved any more my wife would complain bitterly.
Red oaks have you tried them?

I think all the side effects start after you get north of South Carolina. You may have to stay in the south fulltime now.

Grits are ambrosia compared to lutefisk or whatever its called.
Had it once and it was once too many.
Grits so far are acceptable fare.
Maybe I am becoming brainwashed regarding them.
After all I am about to become a part time southerner so must adapt to some of the customs.
