still making them. I only do a couple at a time do to space.i sell ,trade and give them away,lol.

Nice looking benches.   What do you fasten the slabs to the benches with?   

I have done a similar design and counter sunk 3/8" x 3" lag bolts but then needed to cap a 3/4" hole.  Hard to find 3/4" caps.   I then thought some ornamental black lag bolts sunk even with the surface would match the rustic intent.  I have not found any reasonably priced.  They are custom made on web sites and they want an arm and a leg.
