He was from Skowhegan. A very small write up about a branch hitting him. Someone that knew him found him, sounds like he was working alone. Sad to hear about this.

Yes, sad to hear.
And just a short walk in the woods could come to the same ending.

By the looks of a forest floor, many branches and limbs fall at some point in time.

I got hit by a dead 3" X 12' tree branch in 1983 just walking through the woods while out hunting. That one dropped from a height of more than 30 feet, which broke my back and immobilized me on the spot for several hours until well after dark.
Bad news that a branch killed that logger.
