what does everyone call 2x3s used with strapping for shipping material. they have a groove in them for the strapping plastic or metal band. I call them batten but i can't seem to find them online called that.

I believe they are called dunnage. I've never seen the word written so I don't know if I spelled it right, spell check on my phone says I spelled it wrong.
