Went to run the mill today to make a couple stair treads and it won't start.  Ran fine on Wednesday.   Gas and oil fine.   Ether.  No go.  Pull plug.  Looks good but no spark.   Spray kill switch with wd40 type stuff (631?) and work switch a few times and spark appears.

New switch time?

The only thing the kill switch does is grounds the coil.
If you have an electric start it has a more complex switch for the starter circuit and charge circuit but it still just grounds the coil lead.
Some times the low oil shut down can stay activated with dirty oil.
AFTER checking the oil you can unplug the black wire coming from the coil for emergency use.
I have found that the only way I can check for spark is with a cheap neon tester from Harbor freight (under $5.).

I keep a bit of plastic tape over the key hole when the mill is idle.We have a bug here that will lay an egg the in key hole and plug it with clay.
