Chainsawr one of the sponsors they did not have anything looks like they have a bit for the 272 might try there.

Avoid aftermarket parts if you can, as the quality often isn't on par with OEM parts.

Nothing like fixing equipment and getting another set of years from it. We do offer an OEM Heavy Duty Filter for that saw. HVP 503 55 11 01. There is a mechanic note on that: "This air filter requires the use of a heavy duty manifold #HVP 503 53 55 01 and clamp #HVP 503 56 00 03." That should help both you and your saw breath easier.
Gotta know when to fell em, know when to tell em, know when to walk away, know when to run....

Timber cruiser I'm just next door to you in Manitoba.
I  replaced the original air filter on my 272XP with the OEM HD filter setup. Saw only has about 6 tanks through it. The original filter kit is still like new.

Looks new. Do they still make this saw? I also have a 272xp with that filter setup.

No longer made here for our market but Husqvarna still manufacture the 272XP in Brazil for the Latin and Indonesian market.
My 272 I show here is a 1993 model with only about  6 tanks run through it.
