Yesterday really turned out to be a great day in the shop! I got to spend the day showing Nancy how to make a "project". I don't know where she gets the ideas for them, but they are really neat. After finding some Cedar fence cutoffs, she wanted them "hooked together". Without asking, I got the plate jointer and biscuits out. She proceeded to get in my way, so I let her do it! After showing her how to set depth and size, she took off.

After gluing and clamping, she dug out some scraps from her pantry cabinet build, saying "I can make a sign with these!!" After picking out a profile bit for the router table, it was training time again! She catches on to the mechanics of it really well, but needed help "bolting the bit on??" After the first one, she picked another profile and was able to do the whole setup herself.

Now the glue is dry, it's time to finish the first project. Drill and vix bit, and she was in business!

Very good time, and now she is looking at all kinds of NEW TOOLS for the shop! I can't loose!  8) 8) 8)     Andy

I really like that "star hangers". I can build lots of stuff, but I have a difficult time coming up with my own ideas. I'm constantly seeing things, and saying to myself, "Why didn't I think of that?". :D
