Well just applied for a loan to hopefully pick up a nice little buncher to add to me and dads small out fit! Any one on here familliar with franklin/tree farmer 3000 tree shears? thanks tanner.

Call around and check on parts availability first. The franklin skidders are so-so on some of the real odd parts, I never had a problem but I would check on the bunchers before I bought one. Also, find out about the shear knives, if you can buy them or make them. I had an 1187 case fellerbuncher, and factory knives where 800 each. Something to think about.

Another thing is will your markets accept sheared wood? UP here the only market for anything sheared would be chipping it for biomass.

It will be used for pulp and firewood. we sell alot of tree length firewood and cutting it with a chainsaw is slow going with this machine it would help production in a big way!
