I need to build shorter log rests for my Norwood Sawmill. Problem is my mill is 3 hour trip away (drive + boat ride). If someone could tell me what size pipe, I'd appreciate it!

I'm still loving my Norwood sawmill, but I'm finding ways to make the manual mill easier. Next on the build list is a winch and ramps to pull the logs onto the mill.

This week I worked on planing the flooring and routing the T&G.

I have 60 logs to mill that I gathered this winter. I'm looking forward to getting some work done!

Can measure the diameter for you in the morning when I get back to the mill.............but have to ask why do you want shorter ones?  Just dig a hole under the post so they can bottom out, much easier than making a new set, if you are running close to the ground.

Bar diameter is 1.5", 3/16" thick pipe.

The bar needs to be about 11" long.

Thanks for the help!

I need shorter ones because I have the sawmill on railroad ties.
