Having trouble catching this year.  Very few fish seen on their beds.  Have fished shallow, deep, and often.  No luck.  Any thoughts???

water might not be warm enough to get them spawning yet. was there a large winter kill of fish this year?

Some winter kill.  Nothing exceptional.  Surface water temp was 70 this last week-end.  Specs normally start moving in when the surface readings are around 50.  I think spawning takes place around 58.
