For sure i took these photos at a friends mill, this cant was 16" square and was graded to clear, with alot of 1x16 boards. I cut some of these logs and it was sure nice to see them being sawed, especially in a fifth generation rotary mill. These boards went to a guy building a shed, and some being put up for local craftsmen who make furniture.

Circular head saw and band resaw... best of both worlds. Why didn't he send the square through the resaw?

They dont have a band saw in the mill, the resaw they have is set up for dimension under 4" with two blades. Iam no sure if you mean to send a 16 x 16 square/cant through a resaw?

I forget sometimes that not all resaws can handle big squares. I used to work at a mill that had a big brewcorun-around resaw. Still, very nice
