is there a replacement ignition for 64-79cc makita
cs8000, 702evl, 365sp, 32 ton splitter 350husk, cs6700

Why do you want to get around the limiter, these saws make the most power from 9000 to 10000 RPM , no where near where the limiter is set. Or are you doing a highly ported race saw.   Steve

Here is one way.  You can also modify mounting slots instead of taking coils apart.

thanks NCFarmboy, the saw has had a little work, woods port, muffmod, bigbore, 372 carb, hd airfilter.  it runs strong, but is tricky to tune. really appreciate your help.  not sawing going on in thi part of ky.

timing the flywheel is very important to how the motor runs , Once set proper and with abit of porting the 7900/681 will spin about 16,000 or so in work setting on carb . I have spun a 7900 over 18,000 rpms on alcohol and no trouble , these rpms are out of the wood
