anyone ever see a skidder with a FEL? I was searching the internet ads in the upper midwest and saw one for sale. Now I could use that. Eliminate one piece of machinery at the landing. Skid them out and load them up. That is what I do with my tractor now but the skidder and loader would be better.

Pettibone made one back in the day. They have a plant in Baraga MI that use to manufacture skidders and made some with front end loaders but never caught on. I know of a couple units that are still running around here.

I can't imagine it would it be too hard to weld a tractor FEL on a skidder, but I bet it would be tippy on rough ground.

Ive seen 1, and was told you could the mounts added to your 440A for a backhoe. Theres one up in a field near Amsterdam N.Y   Deere had a forestry package for the 410C-510C hoes years ago to use as a small landing loader on the header, I have the sales brochures tucked away.

There was a garrett for sale near here couple years ago that had a loader on it.  Actually a couple of em.

And somewhere in my Deere manual it mentions having a backhoe option, and something about a funny blade lever, which it seems like mine has, push it all the way forward and it bypasses and sends everything to a secondary system, which I don't have, so assume that is where all the hydrotrans fluid is going
well that didn't work

I don't know what kind of skidder that is. But that thing is scary looking.   ;D  That looks like a new piston for the clamp, looks nice and red.
You gotta put that picture in the timber harvest equipment thread.

I don't know. Do you think you could see around that monstrosity?
I think visibility would be poor enough that you might knock the bark off a few cars on the way.  :D
