Hey all again! Buddy of mine bought a second boom the other day called asked if I'd been interested in hauling timber for him & a few more people in Indiana. Question is how many different ways are people charging by the hr,load, mile,& footage thinking bout buying 2 trailers but don't just want to jump in clueless either.thanks for any help on what haulers are working for

Up here its so much per mbdf to the mill for hardwood, anywhere from 50 and up depending on distance. Pulp is paid on percentage of the load. Alot of it depends on your region, and cost + distance to the mill.

Here it starts 50 dollars per thousand bdft foot up to 50 miles hauling. 60 miles is 60 dollars per thousand, 70 miles 70 dollars per thousand.... you get the picture. That's loading them on someone elses trailer, I'd supect they'd want more if they had a self loader.
Saw you tomorrow!
