Hi everyone,

I have just purchased a makita 7310 thanks to the brilliant reviews on these forums.

However, I do have a question for the more experienced folks as my experince with larger chainsaws is nilch

Is it normal for this series of saws to idle slightly rough? Now I have only run two tanks through it so far, and otherwise she runs well, no hesitation and plenty of power.
But, it is just when idling the note is not constant.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Good choice in a saw. That is normal for a 2 cycle engine, it needs to run rich at idle to have enough fuel to transition to high speed. That burble is music to my ears.
