I just did the route 9 from Concord to Keene , about an hour, pleasant ride.  Over to Brattleboro should be fine also.  I have not done the route 7 trip.

Woodhauler,  Rt.9 is fine over to Brattleboro. From Brattleboro to Bennington, VT can be slow depending on the traffic. There are not a lot of places to pass and you'll go through some small villages. Bennington to Albany is fine but do take the NY Thruway once you get near Albany or it'll make for a long trip. Drive Safe.

Rt-7 isnt to bad, especially early in the morning. Watch out for moose. Make your way down the hill in troy, get on 787 south. You will see signs for the thruway south, avoid those. Go up the hill past the port on 787 and you will see signs for I-90 west. Stay on I-90 west till you get out there, its a decent ride.
