TFG Community Building Project, Pemberton, BC

The TFG will be building a 50x150' open air market pavilion in Pemberton, BC this summer. 400 some pieces of timber, 60,000 board feet. 10 days on site in a wonderful location. This has been a work in progress for the better part of 18 months, first discussed with members at our Burlington, VT conference. The town of Pemberton has pulled out all the stops in moving this along - and if their energy and enthusiasm so far holds up - they will be incredible hosts.

Longtime TFG member and past President Randy Churchill is leading the team on the ground. Peter Dickson is the local hero. The frame is going through final engineering by TFG member Robin Zirnhelt of ISL and was designed by Mike Beganyi.

More information to come on the TFG website as we finalize some of the details.

Mike, I would love to be there.  But, I just can't get retired soon enough.  This will be 2 big guild projects that I have missed this year.  After 30 June....look out.  I hope to be at a bunch of the guild events.

That's very nice design you did, Mike. I look forward to seeing pictures of the project this summer.

Wow. We're going to the Nacogdoches, TX event next week, and I wish we had time for this one, too. Very impressive. (Is it seriously only $75 for the whole event?)

Bill, thanks for the kind words. Looks a little different now that the engineering is done - all for the best though.

Ziggy - you'll be begging Randy to take some more of your money and let you go home early. He's going to work folks pretty hard on this one. Tons to learn. We added some round work to those big 42' trusses. That's going to be interesting.
