Im trying to find a headblock scale for my lane mill im building. it had a yard stick on it when I got it, wich is kind of hard to see, I havn't had any luck even trying to find a pic of what the factory scale looked like, so id have something to go by to make one. I was thinking id make one with a 1/4'' offset scale so id have an "idiot" scale as im just learning how to saw. anyone have any ideas?

Ike, I'am not much help to you the scale on my Chase mill was faded and hard to read so I put an aluminum yardstick over it. I made up a cheat sheet with board width plus kerf, when I am making the cant width cut I go by that so the boards come out even. Probibly any of the companys still making circular mills would have something or mayby old stock. Frank C.

Here are some pictures of mine but not close enough for details.  You can see the chain moves from a sprocket on the setworks and moves the dial.
The last one with it cleaned up.
