Fuel cap problem?

I think I've got a problem with the fuel cap on my Poulan 3318.  After I've ran it for a while it doesn't want to idle.  I can keep it running with a little throttle.  Some times when I loosen the cap I can hear that there's vacuum in the fuel tank.  I think the relief valve is clogged.  Is this a common problem?  If so where can I get a replacement cap?

Thanks for putting up with this rookie!

Buy a new fuel cap that usally does it.

If you open the fuel cap to.let the vacuum out will it then restart and idle ok? If so then look at the vent. If not then it may be something else. Husky2100, you're pretty close by, I live in New Hartford.
