Picked up a 67 treefarmer c4 with dagenham 4 cylinder and Simms injector. From what I understand injector takes oil. Skidder runs but found out oil injector oil has never been checked or changed. Wondering what kind of oil it takes and weight.  First time and pretty new here. Lots of good info. Oh I'm up in northern wi don't know if that would be factor with oil

If its like the Simms pump on my Ford tractor there is a drain plug on the bottom, check/level plug on the side, and a fill plug on the top. Manual calls for the same 15-40W that you would run in the crankcase.

I check and change mine often since there are a few bad umbrella seals in the pump that leak fuel into the oil so it gets diluted and thinned out. Only takes a few ounces so it is cheap insurance.
