2 handed "hunt and peck" typing

Had surgery on my left hand two weeks ago today for Duputrons contracture for my index and ring fingers and was in a cumbersome splint until last Tuesday
Pain in the butt , no pun intended, as far as typing and certain necessary body cleaning motions.
I am finally able to use both hands again albeit in a limited manner for my left and can type OK.
The scars sure are ugly at this point and the therapy quite painful, but no pain no gain I guess.
Doc says I can do whatever the pain will allow but will be at least a month until I am good to go full speed.
Cabin fever has set in already.

Pete did you try the injections first? I have the same thing between my little and ring finger getting to be painful. Doc is suggesting trying the injections before surgery.

Getting such stuff done in the winter time is a good plan. I had my hips rebuilt one, one winter, the other the next winter.   First one was a bit late so I wasn't back in battery yet when spring came.  Wound up visiting my firewooding site on a cane just to assuage the "wooding withdrawal" symptoms.

Raider bill,
no injections came up either in conversations with my primary care provider or the surgeon.
Had the other hand done 5 years ago and all is great with that one.
The ring finger was drawn down about 30 degrees and couldn't be straightened.
The index was done in 2007 and the problem came back.
Maybe doctor b will chime in with an opinion.
