I'm using Classic Shell to make my Win 8 look like Win 7.   I've read that MS has come up with a fix to do the same thing. True?  Should I do the update?

They have a free update to Win 8.1, which fixes some of the user gripes about Win 8. I haven't tried it yet so I'm not sure how much of an improvement it is. I don't think it gives you all the features that Classic Shell has though.

You can still run Classic Shell on 8.1 if you prefer.
