Thanks for the heads up Pappy, I'll have to take a look at my '05.  Might be time to do some 'upgrades' if I am on the list.
Watching over 90 acres of the earth with 50 acres being forest.

Someday I would like to be able to say that I left thes 90 acres healthier than when I started watching over them.

Front end steering suspension parts on my 2005 Ram 3500 diesel 4x4 have been an ongoing problem for me - I do not know if it is the heavy Cummins or what, but I have redone my tie rods and and drag links twice in less than 100,000 miles. First time it happened, fortunately I was on a bush road and only going 15 mph or so, tie rod popped out of the socket and front tires spayed outwards like doing an awkward splits. - I replaced them myself with MOOG parts, but they failed again, but fortunately lifetime warranttee. I now watch them closely to avoid a repeat. Dodge have an upgrade package, [heavier duty parts] but about 1000 bucks just for the parts - we will have to see what this recall brings.

This recall happened a few years ago as I remember.  I was upset they didn't include an alignment.
Our 2004 has 120,000 on it.  I hope to get much more out of it.  Our grocery getter eats u-joints.  It's the Allison slamming it into overdrive.
Maybe we should spread it out into two loads. ;D

My 98 Dodge ate front ends. Probably put 5 in it. Tie rods, stabilizer rod, ball joints, etc

Apparently the earlier recalls were not the best fix, but this new one is better. I had a buddy that lost a tie-rod on his 2005 and almost went in the river. Here is another article from Moter Trend with an 800 number that should answer some questions.

Pretty much every dodge I been around has had major front end issues, and wheel bearings hubs brakes, just constant issues.   The front wheel drive stuff K members rotting thru suspension arms rotting out all withing 7 or 8 years...   Neighbors Neon had 80K on it, 2004 lower control arm mounts to K member rotted off from AC dripping on it...   ::) :o

Wont own one myself too many problems from all the people around me that bought them...
