I've just bought a 562XP and so far I really like it.  Great power for it's light weight.  Anyone else have one and have an opinion of it?

HiTech

I bought one and it cuts like nothing I have ever seen for its size and weight. I had problems restarting it after it warmed up. After running a few tanks of gas through it it starts much better. Had to replace the recoil and cover it attaches to. Told me that seems to be a common problem with them breaking. Never had one break before. When you want light weight and power I guess you have to sacrifice something. With all that said i would still buy another one.

I've heard good things about that saw I'm debating getting one its either that or a 372

I just got mine last friday and so far its a great saw. out preforms my buddies ms441

Ive got 4 of them, from well used to close to new. For the money and weight they are a nice saw, just remember to grease the clutch bearings in them or you will fry the bearing. They dont like pounding around on skidders. Great saw for limbing or small cutting, but myself and my woods crew agrees a 372 eats it all day long.

Maine Logger, I was going to buy a 372xp, I tried a friends and really liked it. Then a read about the 562xp and found a rebuilt saw. It is lighter than the 372xp, lol and at 68 years old I need all the help I can get. Long story short I bought the 562xp and love it. I am running a 28 inch bar on it cutting Juniper and Pine, it is a hotrod lol.
I did have some trouble once starting it when it was warm, so I just took the cover off and the air cleaner, 2 pulls and it fired, put it back together and went on with my business. Ed

OK thanks mss I think I have made my mind up to buy one of each I'd like to have the light weight and fast revs of the 562 on normal cutting but I'd still like the bigger saw for big stuff and cutting up in the yard. Does the 562 have the large mount bar like the 365/372 or the small mount like the 357/359

Main Logger, I am not sure, I think it is the same as the 372xp but I will check it out. Young man that cuts with me has a 372, I will compare and get back to you. ED

OK thanks that would be good to know all my saws that I currently use all share the same bar which is handy

Could be handy, but how often do you really swap them around?  I wouldn't let that consideration interfere with which saws I buy.

The 562xp surely is a winner though - very good choise!

It is, no reason to compare!  ;)

They get bounced around quite a bit I have a couple spares and when blow a tip I just put on another bar and keep going but it wouldn't be a deal breaker id just buy a spare small mount bar but obviously I'd rather just have all the same

Maine, I guess Niko missed your question, yes the 562 has the large bar mount. I switch bars between my 562, 372 all the time.

"No reason to compare" was meant to say there are the same - remember that I first said "it is", so I really don't understand how that could be confusing?

Anyway - to clean it out, yes - the 372xp and the 562xp use the same bar mount, large Husky.

The 560xp and the 2260 use the small Husky mount.

Other than said bar differences what us the difference between the 560xp and the 562xp

A higher air filter/cover on the 562xp, and halv a pound more weight.

Splitting hairs - the 562xp basically weights the same as the ol' 262xp, and just a little less than the 357xp (this doesn't fit with specs, but is the truth as far as I know it)....

The 562 oil tank is slightly larger 0.35 versus 0.33 litre.
562 weight 12.5 lb versus 12.3
Recommended bar lengths 562 16-28", 560 13-24"

One more thing I like about the 562XP...the response. I have never seen a saw go from zero to 60 so fast. Acceleration is instant. I thought the 357XP was a good saw for it's weight/power ratio. The 562XP has a few more beans.

Daman

I almost 100% sure that the 562xp is my new saw.

You will like the power to weight ratio. Very easy handling saw and will cut anything you can stick a 20" bar in.
