He was a great guy and  the folks with him deserve a nod as well. They were at risk many times particularly at the small forward bases. We saw the show at Freedom Hill in '65. Most Marines I ever saw together. After the show my friend Alex got a kiss from Joey Heatherton, security was not amused.

Growing up, I couldn't stand Bob Hope. I only knew him through lame TV specials aired in his later years. It wasn't until he died and I watched a retrspective about his life that I came to appreciate his comedy and his contributions.
