National Veterans Art Museum

Just became aware of a museum in Chicago that will be on my "to see" list next time I'm there.
In particular, the Above and Beyond sculpture.
Lest we not forget the young men who died there, the many young men who fought there, gave aid to others, and helped carry the wounded, as well as those who survived a very rigorous and terrible time in our past. My deepest respect for them all, as well as the families of those who were in that war.

When visitors first enter the museum, they will hear a sound
like wind chimes coming from above them and their attention
will be drawn upward 24 feet to the ceiling of the two-story
high atrium.

Dog tags of the more than 58,000 service men and women
who died in the Vietnam War hang from the ceiling of the
National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum in Chicago on
Veterans Day, November 11, 2010. The 10-by-40-foot
sculpture, entitled Above and Beyond, was designed by
Ned Broderick and Richard Stein.

I missed this post too. I wood like to visit the sculpture also. What a unique display to honor our fallen.
I lost an uncle that I was very close to as a child in '66.
