When I purchased my Timberking 1220, I didnt purchase the tow package, the cost was 600.00 extra. Now after looking at the mill, I was wondering if anyone has ever built one ? And if so where did they purchase the axle assembly from, and any ideas

I bought the tow package for the 1220.  I've used it to move the mill from what was supposed to be a permanent site to one that is in hiding  :D

Not all that much to the tow package...the axle assembly is nearly identical to one I took off an old boat trailer.  It was bolted on to the trailer but just pins in place on the 1220.  The towing tongue bolts into place.  That is pretty much the basics on it.  If ya want to know more, fire me a line and I'll answer all I can.

I appreciate that information,  could you measure the axle length they use on the 1220 and the length of leaf spring,, maybe I can order one from northern toolhttps://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=position"> Note:Please read the Forestry Forum's postion on this company, I wish I could have afforded one from timber king when I ordered the mill , but you know how that goes.
Thank You
