I may have the opportunity to do some milling for an historic restoration job. The job entails milling siding for some cabins that were built in the 1930's by the CCC. The original pine siding was treated with creosote, which is obviously not an option anymore.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried to mimic the appearance of creosote, and might offer some advice.

Thanks,

JC

I'd like to see a picture of what you want to mimic.

And the species of pine.  ;)
