Dave, I see the tractor tugs on a daily basis! U guys have an awesome amount of power!! I would love to drive a z drive 8) 8)

red oak lumber guy, I'm mostly inland so we catch Spec trout, reds,flounders,trigger fish! Most of my spare time is spent building cedar chest and cedar beds,Mesquite and oak dressers etc! ;D

Bruce,  Dave could probally explain better, but in a nut shell  it is a Azimuth thruster pod which can rotate 360 degrees! The tug can spin around quickly, in all directions!
This is not possible on tugs like mine which have the rudders! Its called a Z drive because pod is connected to transmission making 2 right angles, this looks like the letter Z !Not all tractor tugs have this, but most new ones do! ??? ???

I'd love to run one too, my boats just a single screw in a steering nozzle, made for long haul log towing.
