I've got a job coming with several 3' to 4' logs.  Is there a good jig for holding short logs?  I usually just put a 4x4 behind short logs and that is OK for 1 or 2, but this job has a lot of them.  The logs are cherry and short boards will be fine for his use, so sawing is justified.

8' 4x4 against the stops, and a piece of 3/4" plywood just a bit narrower than the log, if the log is shorter than the space between the bunks.  I don't mind sawing short logs but I hate loading them.
