only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

That log looks like some of my mesquite. Nice wood, though, even if it is from Texas. ;D

I wasnt after b.f. on this one! Was after unique and knotty patterns in the wood ;D I wasnt dissipointed 8) 8) Should make some really nice cedar chest 8)

   Hopefully something like the last one ;D

mesquite buckeye

I cut an ERC in MO that was kind of like that, but much smaller with a similar stepdown at the branch point. I got a 16ft 4X4 out of it and a lot of short, side limber. ERC seems to sit still very well, even in ugly logs. If you tried that with mesquite or oak, you would get a pretzel. ;D
