Great link Ron.
The video shows quarter and rift sawing that is fairly easy to do on a band saw, given that turning the 1/4 log is workable. Yield would be high.

I agree with beenthere this is an excellent and easy to follow video on quarter and rift sawing smaller logs.

Nice video.  One thing that puzzles me is why the log is turned end for end for each cut.  Is it not possible to get the same results by simply turning the quarter and sawing from the bottom on our horizontal mills?

I wonder the same thing.
Great video though. It really shows the process in an easily understood way.
