Ken Hume of the Oxfordshire Woodland Group, England has posted some good shots of recently felled "park" grown oak timbers at Harcourt Arboretum, Oxfordshire that is in the process of being converted into cruck frame scantlings using a powerful Stihl 088 chainsaw fitted with an Alaskan sawmill attachment.

The cruck frame will be built by England's premier cruck framer - Henry Russell with places to attend this spring and summer 2013 workshop available from Barbara Czoch of the Carpenters Fellowship (link on OWG forum).

Hey Chilterns,

Thank you so much for sharing this site.  Of all the grand timber frames of Europe, the humble folk style of the Cruck is my very favorite.

Thanks Again,
